Dear Faithful Friends and Ministry Partners,
Mary and I want to say thank you for your love for us and your many prayers. We will be celebrating 59 years of marriage on November 17. Our children Lynn, Mark and Joan are all married, and we have 8 grandchildren, 5 are married and we have 6 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. We are so blessed to see our family walking with the Lord. They are all staying healthy. We are in Good health now for our age. Mary is feeling much stronger and I have basically recovered after my stroke in March. We are so grateful to have so many people all over the world praying for us.
We will continue to be involved as we mentor new leaders, but it is time to turn the ministry leadership over to younger people. God is raising-up several very qualified leaders. I would ask you to pray that we will experience God’s wisdom as DCI moves forward into the future. We have great confidence that God will continue to guide us and DCI in the years ahead! He has always been so faithful!
Romans 5:5 (NIV) says; “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us”.
The gracious gift of hope is secured on the unchangeable and unconditional love of God, which He poured into our hearts by His Spirit, when we first trusted Christ’s finished work on Calvary. The love of God was poured out in great measure when we first believed, and it grows into an ever-deepening awareness of God’s great love for us, which remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

In these desperate and confusing times people are searching for hope and many are finding Jesus!
Africa: All over Africa the hunger for God is growing rapidly, and DCI Trainers are trying to develop more and more Pastors and leaders in each country who can equip their people to share the gospel with those who are so open to receive God’s love!
Dr. Simeon Oyugi reports: “It is good to note that after I did the Training in Liberia with Bishop Melton and his group, that later on they invited Bishop Ekien to their country and he was trained there and caught the vision of DCI and moved with passion and began training others. Bishop Ekien is reaching out to French speaking countries in Africa. So far, he has trained the following leaders:
- 2 leaders in Burkina Faso.
- 73 leaders in Togo.
- 275 leaders in Benin Republic
- 238 in Ivory Coast.
They will each be training other leaders. This is a great breakthrough! DCI is spreading its wings in West Africa. Especially in the French speaking countries. God has just added to DCI many more leaders who are responsible, reliable and can be trusted with Discipleship and the training of Trainers. I rejoice to have on my team such a man as Bishop Ekien with such a deep commitment towards Discipleship.”
Hans and Elly Timmerman’s team in Malawi: “The reports we get from our 3 DCI National Staff continues to tell us of the multiplication of Life Groups, of people being saved, and the work spreading into other villages and towns. The growth is exponential! The map that we kept for a while has quickly shown us that we cannot keep up with the growth. But we have a Father who can! He knows where every Life Group is, He knows every Life Group Leader and every Coach all over Malawi and beyond. He knows every individual who has surrendered his/her heart to Him; they are, after all, His children!”
This is a great problem to have and I praise God for their wonderful work and the many lives that God has changed there in Malawi.
In Zambia, East Africa, Wilson a new DCI trainer working with Clair Zoilkowski of Beautiful Feet Ministries (DCI partners), is finding an overwhelming response to the Spontaneous Disciple Making Workshop.
He Reports on the DCI mission trip: “This training is one of out of ten I cannot forget, we had at least 270 people from different denominations and this included the Roman Catholics. This gave me a picture of what heaven will be like. I started teaching on the 21st October, and I was helped by Pastor Kelvin Mwanza one of the pastors I have trained to teach the DCI Spontaneous Discipleship Making. He did an exceptional work. Unfortunately, I had a tire bust on my way back upon running onto a small stump, I immediately changed it and as soon as I reached the town, I bought another one to replace it.
We conducted a total of 6 DCI training sessions between October 21 and November 8, 2020.
Nov.6 to 8 we had a miraculous turn out, in Wankhala Village of Petauke, with people from as far as Mozambique and some local churches. I was expecting 250 to 300 people, but it turned out that we had over 900 hundred people, and the church became too small for us, so we had to take advantage of the shade outside. I could not believe what my eyes were seeing.”
Both Pastor Martin and Pastor Kelvin went back to their respective places, but I remained in Petauke to do another training. During this time, I was busy showing the Jesus film to some surrounding areas every night, and thousands of people gave their lives to Jesus Christ.”
Now the work begins as these trained pastors work together to implement the DCI strategy in their church and community by beginning Discovery Groups and reproducing those groups to many groups.
The people are so excited to learn how to reach out to their family and friends that it is difficult to limit the large numbers!
India and surrounding Countries: Harishchandra Binayak, Field Supervisor LTC/DCI Reports: What a privilege it is to partake in the Lord’s mission in bringing the message of hope and life to this lost world. Due to Covid 19 the mission works have been more challenging, yet by the grace of the Lord Jesus, our team never stopped working and He rewarded us with a good harvest of people accepting Jesus as their personal Savior, and many being baptized.
