Thanks to our God for the beginning of another month (September 2023). As we look ahead to fall season, I wish you all a season of peace and refreshing.

We are grateful and thankful for the support you continue to give to Dynamic Churches International (DCI) in Canada and around the world. Prayer points for September 2023:

We pray for Rev. Paul and Priskila Paksoal in Indonesia, that God will give them grace as they continue to expand their ministry to the people of Indonesia. We are praying for volunteers in Indonesia who are working with Priskila, that God will encourage them as they plan to start new discipleship programs for men.

We pray for James Angihan, that God will meet his needs as he continues to plan for all evangelistic and discipleship work in Northern Philippines.

We pray for new volunteers and resourceful people in Canada and USA, who will be devoted to the callings and assignments of God for DCI. Jesus said to his disciples “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” Matthew 9:37-38

A note from Al and Mary:

It’s hard to believe 6 months have passed in 2023 already!  It seems time goes by faster and faster with each year that passes.

Canada Day is upon us!  We are grateful for all the blessings of living in our beautiful free country and especially being so close to the mountains.  Last week we got to take our 3 oldest great-grandsons from Nashville out to Banff for the day. It was a beautiful day, and we packed a lot of special things into our time there.  Memories were made!

We are looking forward to celebrating Canada Day with an Airdrie Pancake Breakfast and Parade and then a neighborhood party in the afternoon. Next week we plan to attend our church family camp from the July 6-9^th and then go on to Pigeon Lake for a week with our son and daughter and their families.

We hope you all get to enjoy the summer weather and special times with family and friends.

“Well Done, Good and Faithful Servants”

Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,

As the Children of Israel were about to go into the promised land God told them “I will give you every place where you set your foot.” (Joshua 1:3)

God has led DCI into many countries and given us access to the people in each one. We continue to be amazed by the great work He is doing!

Here are some recent reports from Simeon Oyugi

We have one of the most exciting news reports from the horn of Africa covering Djibouti, Eritrea, Somali, South Sudan and Ethiopia. (Find these countries on this map below.)

We finally have 4 active Trainers in these countries which are very resistent to the gospel.

DCI Trainers go into these countries from Ethiopa, and as soon as they are done the training, they get back home before they are discovered. The training equips the leaders in these countries to expand to other national leaders so that the work of God will continue to grow.

Keep them in your prayers always, for God’s protection against persecution and murder as Christians are killed when they are found.

We also have an exciting report from Uganda, under the leadership of the DCI Director of Training, Apostle Joseph Elton Mabirizi. In 2018, Simeon conducted a DCI Training Workshop there with a few Pastors. Today, the DCI work in Uganda has grown to 924 churches under his leadership and influence. Many of these churches are new Church Plants!

Currently Apostle Mabirizi chairs two Fellowships of Pastors in Uganda because of the trust they have in him.

West Kampala Pastors Fellowship with over 86 churches represented, and Friends of Revival Pastors Fellowship with over 100 Pastors. He is also the advisor of the Born Again Faith Organisation in Uganda.

One more report from DCI Africa, this time from Ghana under the leadership of Bishop James Obeng. In 2018, Simeon did Training there, with only one church. Today there are a total of 25 Churches trained and implementing the Disciple-Making Process in their church and community.

Pray for Bishop Obeng’s wife. She has type 2 diabetes and has ulcers on her leg.

This practical Equipping causes Explosive Growth and there is a lot of that going on! Praise God!

DCI Africa is on the move and what God is doing is Unstoppable.

The man in the picture is Zaccheus Nyirenda a village headman. A woman who was discipled by one of the people we trained, started a Life Group in his area and Zaccheus started attending. He trusted Jesus for salvation during one of our Life Group follow-up meetings at Mulewera in the Euthini region. After he trusted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, he was filled with joy and happiness for the peace of the Lord that filled his heart. Later he was given someone to disciple him and he received a Bible and a Dynamic Basics booklet.

So far, there are over 37 active Life Groups and over 41 leaders have been trained in this area. This is really an explosive growth experience that we are witnessing in this region. The DCI team started to work in Euthini in 2012, but for some reason the work didn’t survive. We decided to stop going there, instead we used our time and resources to go to other places where the teaching is well received and implemented. But we never gave up on Euthini and we continued praying for this region. We found pastor Manda who came from Ekwendeni (where the DCI Team had trained and equipped leaders and pastors).

Most people in Euthini who call themselves Christians do not really understand what that means. Most are double worshipers, they worship God, and they also worship the spirits of their ancestors. Many people still practice rituals – drinking blood of goats and chickens.

Lives are being changed as traditional practices are abandoned by those that have come to faith in Christ through One-to-One Discipleship. And seeing all these 37 Life Groups that started within a year’s time is a great encouragement to us and to the body of Christ. This is a testimony to what God is doing in this area.

Praise and Urgent Prayer Requests:

□ As you can read from these reports the work in Malawi is seeing much amazing fruit. God is blessing the work in souls saved and we rejoice. But we need help. Right now we are short about 20% for the monthly expenses. Would you help? Perhaps a one-time gift or a monthly commitment? Thanks for your prayers and financial help. □ Simeon’s ministry continues to grow rapidly and his living costs are increasing. Please ask God if He would have you become a monthly financial partner with him to meet his growing urgent need.

□ The transitioning over to Sunday Abidogun the new Executive Director is going well. I, Al, am still very involved in finetuning the resourses and expanding our curriculum to include equipping for Church Planters. Sunday wants the new material to carry the same vision and philosophy that DCI has been passionate about from the beginning.

□ We need to find someone to take over the Office Administration from Mary. Please pray! We trust that God has been preparing someone for years that He knows will be the perfect person for this vital responsibility.God works through His people as they Pray and Invest in His Kingdom!

Oh tidings of comfort and joy!

Mary and I wish you a Christmas filled with this Comfort and Joy! We often think of Christmas as a time of Joy, and it is! As we gathered our family to celebrate Christmas we had so much to be thankful for, and seeing each one and especialy the little children enjoying each other brings joy to our hearts.

But it is also because of the coming of Jesus Christ that we can experience great Comfort. Christmas reminds us of loved ones who are no longer wih us, and while we are saddened by their passing we are also joyful because we know they are now at home with their Lord!

“Well Done My Good and Faithful Servants”

Clair Zoilkowsi along with his wife Verle have led the Beautiful Feet Ministry (a partner with DCI). Clair has travelled to several countries in Africa to distribute shipping container loads of needed goods to the very poor, orphans and elderly people. He also took Bibles and study books for pastors. Clair and the Beautiful Feet Ministry team have been able to share the Gospel message using the Jesus Film projectors in Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, DR Congo and now Uganda. They have trained and provided Jesus Film equipment and motorbikes for many evangelists and they have used the DCI strategy to equip Pastors who plant Churches to care for and disciple the many thousands of people who have received Jesus Christ.

Clair returned on November 14th from a two week trip to Uganda, so excited about the team assembled there and all that had been accomplished. 21 men and women were trained in the DCI training program and another team was trained in how to use the Jesus Film projectors to share the love of God with their own people. Only a week after Clair got back, he became quite ill and was admitted to hospital on Nov 22 with pneumonia and bacterial endocarditis. Other complications developed in spite of the best care available. It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Clair’s heavenly graduation took place Friday, Dec 9th. “Well done my good and Faithful servant…” were the words that I know he heard as he was greeted by Jesus in Heaven.

Verle (Clair’s wife) communicated the following about Clair:
Psalm 39:5 says, “You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.” (NIV)

Clair lived his life in a way to make every day and moment count. His greatest desire was to live each day serving his Lord and Saviour, in whatever form that took. His calling was to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, coming to earth as a Babe, dying on a cruel cross for our sins, so that we could one day stand before God, pure and blameless, and share eternity with Him.

The above is the Good News that Beautiful Feet Ministry (BFM) wants to share with everyone, especially those in Africa. Clair’s heart for the people of Africa had taken him down roads that no vehicle has travelled on; into remote villages only accessible by walking paths; looking into the eyes of people that have never seen a white person; sharing the message of God’s unconditional love with people that have never known such love.

Clair’s Legacy will carry on in these countries and on into eternity! We Praise God for his life! Please pray for Clair’s wife Verle and the family and for God’s leading into what the future holds for BFM. A celebration of Clair’s life will be held on Saturday, Dec 17th at 2pm at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Saskatoon. http://www.ebenezerbaptist.ca. There will also be a YouTube Link later.

It is good that Jesus brought us Comfort as well as Joy!

In our last Global Report, we told you the amazing story of Rev Dismus Onjula. He had a church of 150 people meeting in a Tent. After the DCI Training, they outgrew the Tent. They are now building a facility what will accommodate over 1000 people in a single service. Besides this their Church has planted 8 new churches and were in the process of planting more. Simeon said, “Rev. Dismus Onjula is a real DCI champion!”

Kenya has been experiencing severe drought and now there is an outbreak of meningitis which is killing people rapidly. Sadly, Simeon wrote, “Rev. Dismus died December 1 because of meningitis. This is a big loss for my DCI Africa team here in Kenya.”

Please pray for Dismus’ wife Dolphin, their daughters Grace and Praise and son Israel. Also keep Simeon in prayer because he has to play numerous rolls at every stage of the funeral that will be a six hour drive away from Nairobi.

As Mary and I were doing our Bible reading a couple of days ago, the following verse and prayer were shared. They seemed so relevant to the needs at this time. Please pray this for the families of these dear men, Dismus and Clair, and also pray for Simeon and his family as they serve Dismus’ family and comfort this growing church.

Psalm 126: 5 says: “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.”

“Father, you are a good and gracious God. Only you would think to offer the blessing of joy in exchange for the pain of our tears. Thank you for not shaming us for our tears, but instead considering them so valuable that you would keep them in your bottle. What the enemy intends for evil, in your loving kindness, you use for our good and for your glory. Help us to keep our eyes on you, for therein is the fullness of joy. In Jesus’s name, Amen.”

The Life of Christ living through both Clair Ziolkowski and Rev. Dismus Onjula has touched so many people, transforming them, for a life of Comfort and Joy here on earth and for eternity!

▪ Pray for funds for funeral expenses and travel for Simeon.

Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV) says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

In this Global Report I will feature Dr. Simeon Oyugi, our DCI Continental Director for Africa who shares a few examples of the many good things God is doing across Africa through his ministry.

Simeon conducted an outreach to Children and over 200 of them welcomed Jesus in their lives and hearts. It brought a different feeling of joy as they celebrated in a song saying, Jesus is becoming bigger and bigger in their style and dance. So we are not just DCI today, we are also DCI tomorrow progressively through the lives of children opening their hearts for Jesus.

Simeon shares a Report of the work of Rev. Wilson Esambe our DCI Regional Director in Central Africa:

“When I (Simeon) was in Cameroon in 2018, he had only one Church. But after the DCI Training, he decided to Train his leaders to plant churches.
By today he has planted 7 Churches in total across that region.
In Duala, Cameroon he has planted 5 churches.

Here in the picture (see the PDF copy below), he is renovating an old building for the 5th Church, and he is requesting partners to help with $300 to enable him close in the ceiling to keep the dust and mosquitoes from getting inside the building.”

DCI East Africa Report:
“In Mbeya town in Tanzania. Pastor Eliud Amon successfully conducted a Discovery Group and had ten people giving their lives to Jesus Christ. He trained them on the value of Water Baptism, and they were all Baptized. As a result of implementing the DCI Discovery Group strategy, his church which was not growing, started experiencing huge growth with multiple expansions.

Because of this rapid growth, several leaders came from other regions to experience what was happening in this Church. Now those leaders are training and reproducing leaders to plant new churches back in their areas through the Discovery Group model. We bless God for this Growth.” Jesus Living Through His Disciples!

DCI Kenya, Africa Report:

“Rev. Dismus Onjula had a church of 150 people meeting in a tent. After the DCI Training by using our model of the Discovery Groups, the Church has reproduced Disciples and they soon outgrew the tent. They later bought land and they are now building a church that will accommodate over 1000 people in one single service.

They have completed the foundation of the building, put up the pillars and recently they poured the slab floors. The Church is trusting God to provide and bring this dream of filling this building into reality.
The rapid growth of the Church is the result of the DCI Training. Currently, they are having services underneath this structure. We give God all the glory for what He is doing and continues to do here in Africa.”

Simeon asks for prayer: “Pray for Kenya, we are experiencing drought and heat waves we have never seen for the last 40 years. It is killing people and animals at an extremely high rate. Kenya experienced this in 1982 and the effects were quite devastating. So, keep us in your prayers and we hope it will not spread to our children’s schools.”

Also, there is an outbreak of Ebola in Uganda. If it spreads to Kenya, it can affect half of our population, so kindly take it to prayer also.

Hebrews 13:20-21 is a prayer of blessing. I pray this for you, our faithful Staff and Trainers worldwide and for all of you who are committed to doing God’s will.

“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever”.

This Global Report will focus on the amazing work of the Leadership Training Centre (LTC), in India and their ministry on the China, Myanmar and India border, plus several urgent prayer requests.

Ramananda and Darshini Meitei – Imphal, Manipur reports:

Al and Mary, we are happy to inform you that our coworkers/evangelists are so faithfully and committedly serving our almighty God by preaching, sharing, witnessing and most importantly by continuing to make disciples with new believers in Christ in their own respective assigned fields.

Two weeks ago, I gave two full days Discipleship training to 87 young energetic youth from different churches. Oh! That was indeed wonderful and very effective. The youth were very excited to apply the lessons they learned. The Pastors expressed their gratitude that many of the youth are using DCI materials and continuing discipleship among the other youths as they were taught.

They said the DCI materials and teaching have become an eye opener for all of us.
Recently I was conducting training with pastors and church leaders from neighboring Churches. I was sharing with PowerPoint about, “What is a Church and How to Grow it? I introduced our DCI materials. They were indeed excited and invited me again for a longer DCI leadership training.

Here I am sharing the “Ultimate Purpose of the CHURCH On This Earth” in one of the most crowded churches in Manipur. Responses were amazing. Please let us continue to pray that the SPIRIT of GOD will continue to work in them and that the Kingdom of God will continue to expand in every heart, every day and everywhere.

I am happy to let you know that 17 new believers have been given water baptism, and another 14 new believers are also ready to be baptized by the end of this year.
It brings great joy and blessing to see God touching many lives in and through our lives and ministries and witnessing many people repenting and rededicating their whole beings to the Lord!

Al and Mary, please pray for us as we are experiencing great challenges and heavy persecution in our state!

I am so happy to share and let you know that, though we face so many problems and difficulties, trials and temptations in life and ministry, our God’s faithfulness endures all the time and His grace abounds in all our lives and is much greater than our problems and difficulties.

Thank you so very much for your wonderful partnership, love, concern and financial supports for me and my family and most importantly for the expansion of God’s kingdom. Please continue to pray for us so that your investment for the Kingdom will not be in vain.- Ramananda and Darshini

China, Myanmar, India (CMI) Border Ministry
Moala and Alem for LTC ministries report: This update is on the ministry of Mr. Yongkong and his team.

Many ministries such as:
1. School of Evangelism (SOE) with 16 students currently.
2. Door-to-door evangelism and new house fellowships.
3. Planted 9 churches. Baptism to 120 new believers.
4. The SOE graduates take care of planted churches.
5. DCI training in all the planted churches by Yongkong.
6. Women’s ministry through Mrs. Yongkong is active.
7. Newly appointed Mr. Konkam as full-time SOE teacher.

As the ministry expands rapidly we need a salary for Mr. Konkam who is a graduate (M.Div.) from our Bible College here in Siliguri. He is a very committed young man and assists Yongkong in all ministry activities. We are praying for $350.00 as his monthly salary.

Praise and Urgent Prayer Requests:
□ Praise God for a professional translator from our church who volunteered to translate our main training Workbook and 12 PowerPoint Sessions into French for Africa. It has been sent out to all the French speaking countries. We look forward to seeing how God will us it!
□ Pray for the monthly salary of $350. for Mr. Konkam to serve in the China, Mymanmar, India Border Ministry.
□ Pray for God to provide $3,000. for Simeon our African Director to cover high costs for food, school fees for 2 children and funeral expenses. Any amount toward this would be a great blessing!
□ We are praying for God to provide major finances to meet the present needs and to expand the DCI Ministry. We have 2 potential donors who want to donate significant finances but they are experiencing obstacles in their ability to give.

Reproducing Disciples and Churches!

Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,

In this report I want to highlight the training of Trainers. In Ephesian 4:11-13, the Apostle Paul admonishes us to equip Church leaders to train their people to be able to do the ministry. Below are examples of how DCI is helping ministries in India, Myanmar and Africa develop their leaders to equip the Christians.

Moala Kashung of The Leadership Training Centre (LTC) in India shares: “Please welcome Anurag Rai our new DCI Coordinator for LTC in India. He has done his Master of Theology in Pastoral care and counselling and he was a church planter in the hill area of Darjeeling. He has gone through the DCI Training, and he is a very committed servant of God. Please pray for him as he takes on this great responsibility.

These are the new M.Div students at LTC. They are being trained in the DCI materials and process. We are also equipping the B.Th and School of Evangelism students in the DCI resources. This year their weekend practical experience is to apply the DCI materials for outreach and discipleship.” – Moala

Next a report from Richard Khum Director of Mission Training School in Myanmar who was trained in the DCI process by LTC. (Edited for brevity)  “Greetings in Jesus’ name! By the grace of God, I conducted a four-day training course on Discipleship on June 13-16, 2022, at Pone Htun, Lashio Township, Northern Shan State. 26 of our missionaries attended, five were new missionaries who had completed the three months training course and five were missionaries working nearby our mission fields.

I (Richard) planned to train with my wife but due to the sickness of our children my wife, Hannah could not go with me. Therefore, I taught for five hours per day for four days using the DCI Dynamic Discipling books. We were renewed and so happy as we touched on the subjects in this training.
Twice a day I taught how to study the Bible by using Romans 12:1-21. This text deeply blessed our lives giving new power and strength for our ministries.

Every day from 6:00-10:30 pm we had a time to give reports on our mission work. As they were telling about the miracles and wonders happening in their fields the time was too short to share all their testimonies. In each village new believers were baptized, new churches were established, sick people were healed, blind people could now see, and evil spirits were cast out. We preached in the marketplaces and on streets with boldness and tracts were distributed to the villagers. Because of hearing their stories about these miracles that God has done, tears of joy were flowing down on our faces. God’s Kingdom was enlarged, and the name of the Lord was glorified more and more among their people.

We are praying that within the near future new believers will increase and new churches will be established in Shan State. I hope for the arrival of a spiritual awakening among the people of Shan State.

On June 16th we had the dedication service of the five newly appointed missionaries. We send them out by faith, trusting fully in the Lord to provide the needed support of prayers as well as of finance for their ministries. Please kindly remember them all in your prayers.

In the last 18 months Mission for Myanmar Org. the Lord has given us (419) new believers, (126) were baptized, (65) new disciples, and (12) new churches were planted.

Godefroid Tando from Africa shares, “Your prayer is needed! I already have over 100 people who are interested to be trained since I arrived in Congo. 62 people are asking for training in Dynamic Basic One-to-One and 40 for Dynamic Discipling One-to-One, we need the Lord to provide funds to print these books.”

I (Al) had to write to him the following, “I do very much appreciate your commitment to train these pastors in the DCI process. You have been faithful to provide the finances for your own travel and accommodations as needed. I would normally be pleased to provide the funds for the printing of training books, but when you asked for these funds, we had just come through a very challenging time with many financial needs all at the same time. We simply did not have anything to send to you.”

Godefroid wrote back that he trained 15 Pastors and leaders for whom he was able to print books. The others, there are still waiting for the training.

Simeon Oyugi is going through a challenging time right now. His brother has died from cancer. He was in the hospital and as is customary in Africa they would not release his body for burial until the hospital bill was paid. Simeon was able to gather funds from the family to cover $2,000. USD of the $4,300. USD needed. He was able to take out a bank loan for the rest. He still needs money to pay back the loan and for his own family to get to the village for the funeral, plus funeral expenses. Can you help this dear brother and faithful godly man who is having such an amazing ministry in all of Africa?
