DCI Global Report: October, 2018

Update on What God Is Doing!

We All Need Encouragement
“…Then they (Paul and Barnabas) returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch,
22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith…” (Acts 14:21, 22).

Family: Mary and I are very encouraged to see our grandchildren maturing in their lives. Our grandson Robert returned from a fruitful mission trip to Fiji with SEEDS International in August. Our oldest grandson Matthew and his wife Ashley welcomed a beautiful and healthy son Everett

Matthew Garbe on Sept. 24 (7 lbs. 6oz.). It is great to have little-ones around again!
Our grandson Steven Middleton is engaged to Kybrie Haaf. They plan to be married on December 22, 2018.

Encouraging Reports: Hans and Elly Timmermans who serve in Malawi, East Africa share the following: “Pastor Hyson Nkhata, who is the DCI coach for Enukweni, after being trained by the DCI Team, passed on the teachings to Harrison Lupunga. Harrison comes from Phyolani Village. He is married to Merrina Gumbo and the Lord has blessed them with 4 children.

Before Harrison was saved, he used to smoke and drink and was womanizing. He said that he is so thankful to God for saving him. He is now free and living a changed life. He was touched by the Dynamic Basic Booklet lessons, particularly by the 3 circles which explains 3 types of people: a person without Christ, a person with Christ, but not allowing Christ to lead him/her, and a person with Christ who is allowing Christ to lead him/her. He said that the Dynamic Basis Booklet has helped him a lot to understand who he is in Christ and how to live his new life in Christ.” He is now discipling other people!

Asia Pacific Trip: October 24 to November 7, 2018
Mary and I along with David Benjamin are planning a trip to Bangkok, Thailand and India to encourage our DCI leaders in that area of the world.

Pray for us!  This trip is intended to encourage the faithful leaders who have served our Lord through DCI for many years. We want to bless them and help them plan for a very fruitful future! We will also seek to initiate partnerships with new ministries. When we return I will report on the progress of our DCI Staff and tell how God has worked through them.

Please pray for us:

  • Pray for safety as we travel, in the air and on the ground!
  • That God will use us to encourage our precious team of Godly men and women.
  • That God will use us to cast a vision for the future that will expand His Kingdom in the way He wants!
  • That we will experience good health and strength physically and spiritually!
  • That God will carry on the vision He put on our hearts many years ago through faithful leaders.
  • That God will provide the $6,500.00 still needed to complete the $34,000.00 being raised for various projects.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support! Through you God is expanding His Kingdom. Together with you, we are a team and we very much need each other to accomplish the great work God has given us to do!
